ABOUT ME
My Journey in Dance
My journey in Bharatanatyam began at the age of six, when I stepped into my first dance class under the guidance of Guru RLV Parvathy Natyakalari. For thirteen years, I immersed myself in the discipline, grace, and devotion that classical dance demands — building a foundation that would shape everything that followed.
During those formative years, I also had the privilege of assisting my teacher for nearly six years. Standing beside the guru, guiding younger students, and watching them discover the art for the first time — that experience revealed something deep within me. I realized I had not only the love for dance, but the calling to share everything I had learned with the next generation.
That calling became Kalaika. In October 2025, I founded this institute with a simple wish: to pass on the traditions, techniques, and joy of classical dance to every student who walks through our doors. I have completed the Poorna level in Bharatanatyam and am now pursuing my diploma under Sanchari Kala Parishad — because for me, the journey of learning never truly ends.
Dance is not just movement — it is devotion expressed through the body.

Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam
Originating in Tamil Nadu, Bharatanatyam is one of India's oldest classical dance forms — celebrated for geometric precision, sculpturesque poses, and expressive abhinaya. At Kalaika, students build a strong foundation in adavus, mudras, and stage presence, progressing from basic technique to full margam repertoire.
Kuchipudi
Kuchipudi
From Andhra Pradesh, Kuchipudi is a vibrant dance-drama tradition that blends fluid nritta with soulful nritya and storytelling. Our classes focus on rhythmic footwork, intricate hand gestures, and the balance between vigor and grace — including traditional pieces such as Tarangam.
Mohiniyattam
Mohiniyattam
Known as the Dance of the Enchantress, Mohiniyattam from Kerala embodies lasya — gentle swaying movements, subtle expressions, and fluid grace. Students learn characteristic sthanakam positions, kasavu costume presentation, and the devotional storytelling that defines this art form.
